Well Hello There, Come on in!

There’s a thriving community of folks interested in gardening, local food, sustainability and building a healthy environment…here’s your chance to connect with us!

In 2012, cancer nutrition consultant Jeanne M. Wallace, PhD, CNC, founded Cache Soil-to-Table as a community service project of her local business Nutritional Solutions. She wanted to provide education and resources for those interested in:

  • Organic Gardening & Permaculture
  • Edible Landscaping, from fruits, nuts and berries to perennial vegetables and edible flowers
  • Sustainability (reduce, re-use, recycle, upcycle and do without)
  • Composting and building the living Soil-Food-Web
  • Slow Food, Local Food, Healthy Food—from free-ranging farm fresh eggs to grass-fed meats
  • Whole Food Nutrition, healthy recipes, cooking classes
  • Heirloom (open pollinated) fruits and vegetables
  • Seed saving & sharing
  • Foraging wild edibles
  • Fruit tree care & pruning
  • Grafting, pruning, propagating
  • Rainwater harvesting and water-wise gardening
  • Beekeeping and Pollinator-friendly yards
  • Growing and using culinary and medicinal herbs and spices
  • Backyard homesteading and keeping small stock: chickens, ducks, rabbits, geese, turkeys and more
  • Culturing fermented foods, yogurt & cheesemaking
  • School gardens & healthy school lunches
  • Healthy Lifestyles
  • Protecting the air, water and land in this beautiful slice of earth we are lucky to call home

What started as a small group of like-minded individuals has grown to a thriving community. Our Facebook page is loaded with diverse, interesting and educational materials. It’s a great place to find event listings, connect with local businesses, ask a gardening question or share projects you’re working on. Our MeetUp hosts regular events and classes. We’re glad you’re here and look forward to connecting with you!
